Unicum II W

Unicum II W is now competing very successfully in Newcomers/Foxhunter and he competed at the Addington young horse festival where he impressed many people with his awesome jump and fabulous attitude.

He qualified for the prestigious championship and jumped extremely well each day. We will now be very selective with what he jumps for the rest of this year as we truly believe him to be "the best horse we have ever had".

Offspring is one of the best bred stallion sons of Nimmerdor, the showjumping sire of the century. He is out of Aresa Lady preferent prestatie ( Joost x Courville ), who is one of the most highly regarded broodmares in Holland.

Offspring was purchased from VDL stud as a four year old. VDL retain a full sister, Joyful Lady, who is the dam of VDL Pacific and VDL Raddisson, both international showjumpers and approved KWPN stallions. Offspring is the full brother to international jumper Intermezzo.

Offspring has been successful throughout his career, from style and performance classes as a 4 and 5 year old up to six bar classes over 1.70m + and international speed classes. Offspring is an out and out jumper. Bold and careful, he loves his job and he is always the one to beat.

Offspring won a class at the Royal International at Hickstead last year, 2006 and is current Sussex Area Open Champion. We are planning to jump him in the Hickstead Speed Derby this year, 2007.

Offspring passes on his fantastic temperament, ability and type to his youngstock. He is an outstanding sire for someone wanting to breed a classic showjumper. He crosses well with both warmblood and TB mares.

We think with his bold attitude and outstanding paces he would also make a top class sire of eventers.

Cassio II

Cassio has a top class international showjumping pedigree, by Calvados (Uriel x Gold Rose) x Kretienne (Quidam de revel x Voltaire).

Calvados, partnered by Peter Geerink was the winner of the stallion competition at S-hertogenbosch, won the Grand Prix at Tjele (Denmark) and had many other placings at Grand Prix level.

He is the sire of many international performers including Royal Future (Alison Firestone), Silber bird (Marcus Beerbaum) and Iwan II (Mark Armstrong). Calvados is by Uriel, perhaps the best French showjumping sire of all time. His dam Gold Rose was french confirmation champion, an international Grand Prix jumper and a member of the French national team.

Cassio's dam, Kretienne was champion mare at the K.W.P.N. grading and is highly ranked in their breeding index. Her sire Quidam de Revel, was one of the best showjumpers of his generation, placed in many international competitions including team bronze at the Barcelona Olympics , winner of the Rome Grand Prix and had many double clears in Nations cups for France.

He produced many influencial stallions including Quito de Baussy and Papillion Rouge. Cassio himself has a strikingly careful jump and has proved himself a successful consistent performer, including wins at the Royal International at Hickstead.

Cassio is an extremely attractive horse with superb confirmation, type and paces, he has a kind, trainable temperament, and is a gentleman at all times. Cassio throws very talented jumping horses which all inherit his exceptional scope over a fence.

They are very true to type, with excellent confirmation and temperament and show potential for top class sport in both showjumping and eventing.
